What Is S.A.R.A.H.?
OUR MISSION
S.A.R.A.H. (Sexual Abuse Recovery and Healing) is dedicated to empowering women who have been sexually abused. Our mission is to dismantle the effects of shame, powerlessness and betrayal by guiding you toward personal freedom and recovery. We will help you discover how to regain control in a healthy positive manner.
What happened to you may be part of your story, but it does not have to be a part of your future.
Healing begins by recognizing what happended.
Sexual abuse isn't always obvious. Understanding abuse is an important step toward freedom.
Sexual abuse takes many forms, ranging from inappropriate comments about your body by family members to severe abuses like rape. All these actions constitute sexual abuse and can deeply harm an individual's self-view, relationships, family dynamics and view of God.
Have I been abused?
It's important to acknowledge that behaviors often dismissed, such as inappropriate comments or touching and even instances of rape, including date rape, are indeed abusive.
Grooming is another subtle yet destructive form of sexual abuse. It involves a perpetrator using manipulative tactics to gain a victim's trust, isolate them, and gradually introduce inappropriate behaviors. Understanding grooming is crucial for both preventing exploitation and supporting recovery.
We understand the sensitive nature of your experiences and the importance of a secure environment in the healing process. S.A.R.A.H. sessions are held in strictly confidential and safe locations.
